The straight gesso was supposed to make the blue look better, not worse! The blue isn't covering nearly as well as it did over the black/gesso mix. And the color is much brighter. Doesn't look nearly as nice as that ork's shoulders do.

I definitely should have done some of this painting before assembling it all. There's no way I can paint his bolter or chest properly. There's barely enough room to get at his arms. And the backpack is going to be a nightmare.

Good thing I only assembled these two marines so far...
