time to make the donuts
I’ve been at my new job for a little while now… And, generally speaking, I’m enjoying it.
Not just “it’s a decent job” but “this is actually fun” – which seems really odd to be saying about work. I’ve spent the last several years just kind of trudging through my day and eagerly waiting for the day to end, and it’s strange to be genuinely enjoying myself at work.
But, one thing I am not enjoying is waking up at 5:00 AM to make it here on-time.
The distance I’m driving is actually shorter… But I’ve got a ferry ride in the middle, which easily adds another half-hour to the commute. So I’ve got to get up awfully early to get here on-time.
