brrr!
We’re having our new electric water heater installed tomorrow afternoon… Which means that they’re stopping by today to disconnect our gas… Which means we aren’t going to have any hot water tonight or tomorrow morning.
I am not looking forward to a cold shower tomorrow morning.
relaxation
Had a very nice weekend.
Did not have the pager, so I was able to truly relax. Didn’t have any guests, weren’t playing host to anything, so I didn’t have to be social unless I wanted to. Could really just kick back and be myself for the first time in about a month.
We went out to dinner on Friday and then saw Piranha 3D afterward. Decent movie, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I expected to.
Saturday we went across the lake. We wandered around Church Street for a while… Had lunch… Took a look at the farmer’s market… Stopped by an art/craft store… Spent some time at Barnes & Noble… Grabbed dinner… Got home around 8:00 or so. Had a great time. Lots of fun.
Sunday was somewhat less restful, but far more productive. Ran some errands, did some shopping. Got my laundry done. Got our new TV hung on the wall.
Got a call from the hospital last night, even though I wasn’t on-call… But I was able to resolve it fairly quickly and get back to sleep OK. So even that wasn’t too disruptive.
falling
Fall is most certainly on the way.
The air has turned somewhat chilly over the last week. We’ve had a number of grey, rainy, windy days. The leaves are starting to change. And I’m thrilled.
Fall is easily my favorite season.
I love the cool air… I love the gloomy weather… I love the various harvest celebrations like Halloween and Thanksgiving…
I’m not a big fan of Winter. And Fall does mean that snow is right around the corner. But, for now, I’m thrilled to see the seasons changing.
