Obama
Slashdot confirms it, Obama has won the Democratic nomination… Mostly. He has secured enough delegates to get the nomination, and everyone is calling him the “presumptive” nominee now… But it appears that Hillary still hasn’t heard the news.
Last night, during her speech, she said absolutely nothing about conceding anything. She explicitly stated that she wasn’t going to make any decisions yet. She could still fight all the way to the convention, maybe even drop out of the Democratic party and run as an Independant. Who knows?
Honestly, at this point, I just wish she’d go away. And this is from someone who once thought she’d make a great President.
I really liked her husband, Bill Clinton. I thought he did a great job. I figured she’d do an even better job. I really thought she was a shoe-in after eight years of Bush. I thoroughly expected to vote for her, and I hoped she would win, and I was looking forward to her Presidency.
But the more she talked, the more she campaigned, the less I wanted to vote for her. She started sounding more and more like a Republican than a Democrat. And when she and Obama really started fighting for delegates that became even more apparent. She was the first one to play the fear card with her three o’clock call ad – even beating McCain to the punch.
So, these days, I really don’t want to see her in office. I’d hate to see her even as the Vice President. And I think her continued campaign is, at this point, doing harm to the possibility of getting a Democrat in the office at all.
