And get down with the sickness…
Yup, I’m ill. Didn’t feel right yesterday morning… My skin felt funny, like I was wearing the wrong body or something. Went in to work anyway though… Got sent out on a call right away and noticed my stomach wasn’t feeling too good while I was there. By the time I was finished up with their computer I was struggling not to throw up. Hurried back to the shop, turned in my work order, and ran home as fast as I could - just made it to the bathroom in time.
This is the first time I’ve been out of bed for any significant amount of time since then. Some kind of nasty flu-ish thing. Cramps, vomiting, full-body aches… All that good stuff. I’m feeling much closer to human right now though… I’m hoping that I’ll feel well enough to work tomorrow. Not that I really want to go back to work, but there’s a lot to be done this week. We’re still scrambling to get all the DST updates done before the 11th. I was supposed to get one update deployed yesterday, but I ran home before that happened. And tomorrow I’m supposed to get one rolled out at a medical office.

From Slashdot:
“An award-winning advertisement on Australian TV for the new Hyundai 4WD has been pulled from being broadcast after stations received 80 complaints from concerned parents. The ad consists of a small child, age around 2 years, cruising down the road, window down, arm out the window, in his new Hyundai 4WD. He sees a girl of the same age standing on the side of the road, pulls over picks her up, and they go to the beach together. All in all it’s cute, funny, and very well done. The ad aired late in the evening (8:30 pm or later), but it was pulled due to concern from parents about the copycat risk. What I want to know is, where has the responsibility of parents gone? Is the world becoming so serious — or so frightened — that fantasy is no longer allowed?”

Finally made it to 70 on my Warlock last night. I’m actually fairly surprised with how fast the leveling went… I really expected it to take longer.
70, for a Warlock, means access to Seed of Corruption. I’ve been hearing good things about this spell for a while…and YouTube has an impressive video showing a Mage and Warlock farming with Seed of Corruption… But I haven’t had the opportunity to try it out yet - I just trained the spell and then logged out for the night.
One thing I did try last night was the flying mount, and I’m fairly impressed. I was concerned that it would be cumbersome in some way… That the flight mechanics would be awkware or somehow not what they should be. I’m happy to say that I was wrong, and the flying mount works exactly the way it should. The mount I bought last night wound up costing me about 900g, and gives you a 60% travel speed boost - the same speed as your first, non-epic mount. Even though the flying mount is slower than the epic walking mount I’m still getting places relatively quickly, because I don’t need to run around hostile camps and geogrphic obstacles - I can just go right over the top of it all.
Now I’ve got to start pharming up enough gold to pay for my epic flying mount (5000g!), getting myself attuned to the many dungeons in Outland, and working on my reputation with the Aldor and Shattrath City.

You know… I’m really not sure why we rented The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Neither one of us liked the original movie, nor did we like the recent remake of it. So I really don’t know why we added it to our Netflix queue. And frankly, I wish we hadn’t.
