Well, apparently folks out there aren’t coordinated enough to use a Wii without hurting themselves.  Folks are throwing their wiimotes around, breaking televisions and windows left and right.  Personally, I’m wondering why this is an issue.  Yes, as people are pointing out, the safety strap on the wiimote is fairly flimsy…but I don’t think anyone at Nintendo was counting on people trying to throw their wiimote with all their strength.  I think they probably figured folks would be smart enough to exercise some restraint.  There’s also a picture of some guy who smacked a ceiling fan with a wiimote…not smart enough to step out from under the fan before waving his wiimote around in the air?
