TGIF!

Wow, what a week!  And only four days at that…  I don’t think I could have handled a full week.

Christmas was, as usual, hectic and tiring.  The presents, calling around to wish people a Merry Christmas, cooking all day, eating entirely too much…  By the end of the day I was exhausted.  And then I had to go in to work the very next day - not something I was looking forward to.

Tuesday was annoying.  All we had were subcontracted service calls.  The day simply crawled by.

Wednesday and Thursday were both dead as well, only we didn’t even have the service calls to break things up.

Now it’s Friday, and there’s only one call for me on the schedule, which means that today is going to be long and dull as well.  But, it’s Friday!  And we’ve got another three-day weekend this week.

I have a bad feeling about this…

My second service call for the day didn’t turn out any better than the first.

work sucks

Had a Dell support call this morning…  Don’t normally do those anymore, but three of my co-workers didn’t come in today so I’m covering for them.  Had a hell of a time finding the house since the house number was obscured by a large bush in the front yard.  Drove past the place at least three times before I noticed it.

hooray for Vista!

bah, humbug!

Back to work today, and I am not ready. A three-day weekend is not long enough to encompass Christmas. Just yesterday we were celebrating, cooking a feast, eating entirely too much… I’m still exhausted from the festivities. I need a day to recover. Instead, I get to head back in to work.

To make matters worse, most of our clients have today off, so it’s going to be slow around the shop. Friday was already painfully slow… I had a couple calls in the morning, but I was basically done by noon, and then had to hang around the shop with nothing to do until 5:00. And today looks like more of the same.
