H2G2 starts today, and it looks like we’ll be going to see it this evening around 7:00 or so. I really can’t wait to see this movie… I thoroughly enjoyed the books and the TV series, and I’ve always thought it would make a terrific movie. The anticipation, however, is tinged with more than a little bit of dread. While I’m sure you could make an absolutely fantastic movie out of these books, the possibility to butcher them is also there - and with a story as weird and convoluted as that of the Hitchhiker’s Guide, there’s plenty of room for butchery. Still, I’m optimistic. The previews have looked relatively good, and I’ve yet to see a critic thoroughly trash the movie…

Had some time to kill before going in to work this morning, and took a look at the new PvP Honor System Rewards over on Blizzard’s website. There’s some pretty impressive stuff on there… Having just got to 60 with my Warlock, I’m quite eager to go do some PvPing myself…but I’ve still got to finish my Warlock set. I’m only missing two pieces now - I need the hat, and the shoulders. Unfortunately, it sounds like both those drop off some inconvenient critters - not necessarily that hard to kill, but off the beaten path enough that they don’t normally get killed. I also still need to get my drop of blood from Drakkisath, to complete my amulet and get in to Onyxia’s lair. I can’t wait to participate in an Onyxia raid… Gha! Still so much to do!

I finally got to level 60 today. I’ve been playning this one character since WoW launched in November, and I just now made it to 60. Actually, I could have hit 60 as long ago as last week…I’ve been sitting at 59.5 for about that long…but I wound up raiding instead of leveling.
I have to say, now that I’m high enough level to hit some of these raid zones, I’m truly impressed. I’ve been to Upper BlackRock Spire a few times, the Molten Core, Stratholme, and last night I went to Scholomanse for the first time. All of them are truly impressive. Great atmosphere, interesting things to look at all around you, terrific monsters. The endgame in WoW is really putting EQ and DAoC to shame.
Now it is time for me to start leveling another character. Originally, I’d assumed my warrior would be next - after all, that was my main character in DAoC. But…from what I’ve seen, we need healers more. Dwarven healers, especially, since they get the Fear Ward. And I’ve always wanted to play a healer, I just never got around to it. So, I think I’m going to be playing my Dwarven Priest next.
